When we go out to eat we usually try to go local and Colorado Springs has really upped their restaurant offerings the past couple of years. Recently we tried Rocco’s Italian restaurant at the corner of Maizeland and Academy. We have been there before but it is now under new ownership and thought we should give it a try.
Although Italian dishes are the main features here we went on Wednesday night when they have the Prime Rib Special. As we ar both meat lovers we ordered the same. We went early in the evening and it was not yet crowded. The service was really good, very attentive. The food came out promptly and was served hot.
The prime Rib was served exactly as we ordered it and came with green beans and roasted potatoes. We ordered the option side salad to start.
I would definitely recommend Rocco’s whether you are a local or a visitor to the Springs area. Rocco’s is centrally located with lots of parking. Next time we will try some of the pasta offerings but if you are in the mood for some prime rib check out Rocco’s on Wednesday night for a great value.
